Charlie And Nick Are Back In Precious ‘Heartstopper’ Season 2 Preview

Heartstopper, the popular Netflix series based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, stole our hearts when it premiered back in April 2022. And more than a year later, we finally have a look at the opening scene of Season 2.

During Netflix’s Tudum: A Global Fan Event that took place in São Paulo, Brazil on Saturday, June 17, Corinna Brown (who plays Tara Jones) and Kizzy Edgell (who plays Darvy Olsson) gave fans of the heartwarming drama an exclusive look at the first scene of Season 2, Episode 1, “Out.” Plus, we got eyes on all eight episode titles ahead of Season 2’s premiere on August 3, so we can spend the next few weeks wondering what they mean.

When we last left Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) in the Season 1 finale, the two had gotten back together and decided to go public with their relationship. It looks like they’re starting Season 2 as smitten boyfriends, so here’s hoping that plan is still on track. The Season 2 preview clip opens with two photos of the adorable couple taped to Charlie’s bedroom wall. As his phone alarm goes off, the camera shifts to his nightstand where another framed photo of him and Nick sits beside A LEAF! And seconds after Charlie wakes up, he grabs his phone and an Instagram DM from Nick arrives, saying, “Hi ❤️.” Suddenly, he’s all smiles. Swoon!

As far as we can tell, Charlie and Nick are officially boyfriends now, and as Charlie gets ready for school and makes his way to class, the two exchange nonstop flirty DMs. When Charlie finally steps foot in his classroom he momentarily panics when Nick isn’t there to greet him. But his worries are short-lived because Nick surprises him from behind and the two get to say “hi” in person.

Unfortunately, that’s where the clip ends. And though our hearts are full just thinking about Heartstopper‘s return, we still have so many questions. What will Season 2 have in store for Tara and Darcy? What about Tao and Elle? We need answers! While we’ll have to wait until August 3 for Heartstopper‘s stories to continue, at least we don’t have to wait any longer to learn the episode titles.
