No, Miranda learns that Che was once married to a Malibu mixologist named Lyle (Oliver Hudson). Not only that, but technically Lyle and Che are still legally married. And Just Like That... Season 2 opens basically where Season 1 left off. Miranda has reclaimed her ginger red hair and decided to join Che in Los Angeles as they film the pilot for their first TV show. While Che struggles to assert her voice in Hollywood, Miranda explores new sides of herself in California. While at an AA meeting, she’s invited to help clean the beach. Miranda happily takes to the charity work, but disaster strikes when she loses her phone on the beach. When she finally gets a hold of Che, there’s no time for them to pick her up without bailing on dinner with co-star Tony Danza. So they call a friend to pick Miranda up from the beach. And that friend turns out to be…Lyle.

Lyle is the guy who picks Miranda up at the beach when she finds herself stranded without a phone in And Just Like That... Season 2 Episode 2 “The Real Deal.” Lyle reveals on their drive a few scant facts about himself. Namely he is a mixologist at the Malibu SoHo house, used to shuck oysters as a teen, and was married to Che. Actually, he’s still married to Che. He also shows up in a purple pick-up truck and wears a ton of rings on his fingers. So, you know, he’s quirky.

Che later explains to Miranda that the couple was too lazy to file divorce papers, so she shouldn’t upset. But this is Miranda, so she’s probably still going to be a little awkward about it.
