Freeform has decided to cancel scripted original shows Single Drunk Female and The Watchful Eye.

Creative oversight of the Disney-owned network was recently assigned to development executive Simran Sethi, who previously oversaw originals for ABC.

Former Freeform president Tara Duncan has now shifted her focus to the Onyx Collective studio exclusively.

Created by Simone Finch (The Connors), Single Drunk Female ran for two seasons and starred Sofia Black-D’Elia, Ally Sheedy, Rebecca Henderson, Sasha Compère, Lily Mae Harrington and Garrick Bernard. Jenni Konner (Girls), who has an overall deal with Disney’s 20th Television, served as executive producer on the series.

The Watchful Eye, which only ran for one season on Freeform, was created by Julie Durk (Grace and Frankie) and starred Mariel Molino. Emily Fox (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) served as showrunner on the series from ABC Signature and Ryan Seacrest Productions.

Still remaining on Freeform’s scripted roster is Grown-ish, which will next air its final season, Good Trouble, Cruel Summer, While You Were Breeding and the animated comedy Praise Petey.

According to Deadline, Freeform has other scripted projects in development that will be announced in the near future.
