The first man out of The Bachelorette Season 20 limos was the first man to get a one-on-one date with Charity Lawson. Was it pure coincidence? Or an early sign that contestant Aaron Bryant could be the man proposing at the end of this romantic journey? We’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, let’s learn more about one of Lawson’s top contenders.

The Bachelorette Week 2 saw things heating up in and out of the mansion with two group dates and one super special one-on-one date between Lawson and Bryant that ended with a rose.

So who is Aaron Bryant on The Bachelorette Season 20? How did his one-on-one date with Charity go? And how long does Reality Steve see him sticking around on the show? Here’s everything we know about Aaron Bryant, including his age, Instagram handle, and more.

Who Is Aaron Bryant on The Bachelorette?

Aaron Bryant is a 29-year-old software salesman from San Diego, California who made quite the impression on Lawson and viewers alike on Night 1. In his intro video, Bryant talked about his many hobbies, including photography, hiking, piano, and hitting the beach. “I’m excited for Charity being The Bachelorette because she’s very smart, she’s emotionally aware, and of course she’s so gorgeous. I mean, this could be my best friend, my teammate for life, this could be my wife,” he told the cameras.

When Aaron B. (aka Aa-Rod) walked out of the limo on Night 1 he told Charity the sparkles on her dress matched her eyes before asking if she believes in fate. He pulled out his “lucky coin” to flip, explaining that if it landed tails up he’d pack his bags and go home, but if it landed heads up they’d get engaged. Smooth move, sir! The (definitely double-sided) coin landed heads up, and as Bryant walked inside, Lawson said, “Smart and clever. Love it.” Later in the episode, Bryant played Lawson an original piece on the keyboard, and her brother Nehemiah told her he was “pleasantly surprised” by Bryant, which means he already has some family approval.

If you’re hoping to learn the basics about The Bachelorette’s Aaron Bryant, his official ABC bio is as follows: “It’s easy to see what makes Aaron B. such a great catch. His smile lights up every room he walks into, and he wears his heart on his sleeve. Aaron B. is passionate, understanding, patient and a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic. The former football player says he’s truly ready to find his perfect match and hopes his future wife is outgoing, emotionally intelligent and thoughtful. When Aaron B. isn’t hustling at his job in software sales, he loves listening to Tyler, the Creator’s music; reading James Patterson novels; and enjoying some delicious Cajun food. After his last long-term relationship didn’t work out, Aaron B. is excited for the chance to fall in love again and can’t wait for his Bachelorette journey to begin.”

And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for…the fun facts:

  • Aaron B. taught himself how to play the violin and the piano.
  • Aaron B. eats peanut butter straight from the jar.
  • Aaron B. is spheksophobic, aka scared of wasps.

If you want the inside scoop on Aaron B’s personal journey throughout the season, you can follow him on Instagram at @aaronrbryant, where he had 2,890 followers ahead of Season 20, Episode 2. So how did Week 2 go for Bryant? It’s time for a one-on-one recap.

Aaron Bryant And Charity Lawson’s One-On-One Date Recap:

Bryant’s jaw literally dropped when he learned he was going on Lawson’s first one-on-one date. He told cameras he had “butterflies” and was “feeling all the emotions” from the start because he sees the “passionate, empathetic, clear-headed woman” Lawson is and can’t wait to learn more about her.

Much to the dismay of the other guys in the house, Lawson picked Bryant up in a bright red Mustang convertible, and after driving through Hollywood and bonding over old-school music and their military parents, the two arrived at the Hollywood sign where they popped champagne and toasted to the sign’s 100th anniversary. Bryant finally revealed that his coin was double-sided, which Lawson loved because it meant “the odds are always in our favor,” and after spending a romantic day together the two met back up for dinner.

Bryant opened up about his past, revealing he sought out therapy to better himself. And Lawson said there’s nothing more attractive than someone who’s going to put in the work. The two spent the rest of the night smooching and dancing to live music from American Idol alum Lauren Alaina. As you likely guessed, Bryant got a rose. But does he get the final rose?

How Far Does Aaron Bryant Make It On The Bachelorette? Reality Steve Weighs In

If you want to avoid major Bachelorette spoilers for Charity Lawson’s Season 20, consider this your chance to stop reading. But if you’re curious to know how far Aaron Bryant makes it on the show this season, we’ve got a Reality Steve rumor below.

Per Reality Steve, Lawson, and Bryant may reunite for another one-on-one date in Episode 6, and he’s believed to get a Hometown Date, which means he makes it to Lawson’s Top 4. So is Aaron Bryant the winner of The Bachelorette? Not according to Reality Steve. Though details post-Hometown Dates still remain unknown to Bachelor Nation’s favorite spoiler, here’s what Reality Steve had to say about Bryant’s final weeks on the show:

“Aaron definitely made the final 3 and had an overnight date. He did not get eliminated at 4 and then brought to Fiji to try and win Charity back as has been erroneously reported by Instagram pages,” Reality Steve wrote. “Aaron also did not get the final rose. Two reasons we know this: #1, there was video of him on a yacht party in San Diego the day the final rose ceremony happened in Fiji, and #2, he’s a contestant on Bachelor in Paradise this summer. So unless ABC wants to ruin all suspense for its finale with Aaron being in the final two with everybody knowing he clearly didn’t win due to him being in Paradise, it’s safe to say we can place Aaron in 3rd place.”

As always, Reality Steve rumors are only rumors until proven otherwise, so we’ll have to tune in to the rest of the season to see how things play out on screen for Charity.

New episodes of The Bachelorette Season 20 premiere on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Episodes are available for next-day streaming on Hulu.
