The most recent installment of the John Wick film series, John Wick: Chapter 4, followed Keanu Reeves‘ Wick into even more action than ever before. The former hitman set out to exact vengeance on the High Table, a council composed of twelve crime lords who lead the underworld’s most powerful criminal organizations. The newest film made over $73 million in its opening weekend at the box office, and has accumulated more than $427 million worldwide.

Fans of the films can’t get enough of Reeves and the star-studded cast, who have been putting out these films since October 2014. Now, they are left wondering the following: will there be a John Wick 5 (or John Wick: Chapter 5 if following in the footsteps of the fourth film)? If so, when and where can you watch it? Read on to find out everything we know!

Will there be a John Wick 5?

Yes! Back in May, Entertainment Weekly reported that Lionsgate executive Joe Drake had confirmed the development of a fifth film. In addition to this project, the studio announced two other series spin-offs: Ballerina, a movie starring Ana de Armas‘ Rooney that will hit theaters in June 2024 and The Continental, a drama miniseries set to be released on Peacock on September 22. Reeves is set to reprise his role in both of the spin-offs.

When and where can we watch John Wick 5?

While we know that a fifth movie is in the works, there is no information surrounding the release date or how we can eventually watch the film. John Wick: Chapter 4, which hit theaters on March 24, was hit VOD on May 23, about two months after its theatrical debut, and it arrived on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 13. If the fifth film of the series follows the same trajectory, then we can expect it to hit VOD approximately two months after it makes its way to theaters.

The first three films of the John Wick series are available to stream on Freevee for free with ads, and the fourth film is available to purchase on Prime Video.
