With each annual round of Emmy nominations comes a series of snubs and surprises. Wednesday’s round of noms was no exception, and for those snubbed, it may just be a slice of life. In Lisa Ann Walter‘s case, it isn’t just a slice of life, but an entire cake.

Walters’ performance as second-grade teacher Melissa Schemmenti on ABC‘s mockumentary comedy Abbott Elementary had fans certain that she would be nominated. While the series scored eight Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Sheryl Lee Ralph, Walters didn’t make the cut.

This morning (July 13), she took to Twitter and shared a video of her heading face-first into a cake with the words “Eat Your Feelings” written on the sweet in cursive.

The video’s caption reads #CakeIsTheAnswer. After her face meets the cake, she flashes a smile toward the camera and gives an enthusiastic thumbs up.

Her fans on Twitter are eating the video up, one deeming it as “relatable content” in the comments, and another writing, “law’s living her best cake life,” and “YOU’RE SO REAL.”

Others are showing her love, writing, “oh my god i love you” and “i’m cackling oh how I love you sm!!!

Back in May, Walters told The Guardian how meaningful it is to honor teachers through the series.

“Teachers in the US are treated like shit,” she shared. “It’s a traditionally female profession, so there’s misogyny right off the bat, going into the pay structure and how they’re presented. And in this political atmosphere, to play a teacher and honour them with a performance? It’s really important to me.”

The first two seasons of Abbott Elementary are now streaming on Hulu.
