Andy Cohen turned to Mark Consuelos for some genuine parenting advice about being a girl-dad while filling in for Kelly Ripa on this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark.

During the duo’s opening chat — which the two men playfully referred to as a “sausage fest” — Cohen enlisted Consuelos in a debate he’s been having on his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, about his two children, Ben, 4, and Lucy, 1.

“Ben and I have taken baths. He loves to take a bath. Whatever, I guess that’s normal. Now, were you ever naked in front of Lola?” he asked about Consuelos’ now-adult daughter. “I have a daughter — what is the protocol there? Because I’m a little bit of a nudey and I feel like I need to start locking it up.”

Consuelos then admitted that he was “never” naked in front of his daughter “on purpose,” adding that shared bath times between parent and child should end “when they start speaking.”

“So there will be no bath time for me and my daughter. That’s weird, right?,” Cohen clarified, to which a hesitant Consuelos replied, “I’m not here to say what’s weird and what’s not weird … um … I never did that.”

The curious Watch What Happens Live host eventually caught his friend’s drift. He chimed in, “Your eyes are telling me it’s weird. OK. That’s all I needed to know. I just need the protocol!”

Meanwhile, Consuelos attempted to see the other side of things as he referred to books that have been written about the beauty of “bonding” and “all that stuff.” Still, Cohen wasn’t swayed.

“It’s weird. And when do the baths with my son stop? He’s four years old,” he inquired, before Consuelos joked, “Like, two years ago.”

However, Consuelos made note of the fact that he’s probably not the one to ask these questions to — especially since Ripa handled bath time when it came to their three children.

“It was a century ago when I was giving baths, and to be honest — truth be told — I never gave a bath. Kelly gave the baths. She did all that stuff,” he confessed. “I would come in at night and rile them up and tick her off.”
