Kim Kardashian Shocks Her Family By Saying She’s Joining ‘The Bachelorette’

Kim Kardashian makes an explosive revelation on The Kardashians Season 3, Episode 8 — and before you ask, no, she’s not pregnant. According to the reality star herself, she’s gearing up to find love on the next season of The Bachelorette. Or is she?

At the end of the episode, the Kardashian-Jenner-Barker clan spends time at Kris Jenner‘s Palm Springs home ahead of Thanksgiving, when an overly-excited Kim reveals her next career move.

“An executive from Disney called me — Rob Mills. They wanted to call me directly and I was gonna connect them with you once I decided if I was gonna do it or not,” she says. “I’m gonna do the show The Bachelorette.“

She’s met with silence and shock as Khloé Kardashian tells her sister she’s “100%” not doing the reality dating series, while Kourtney Kardashian adds, “There’s no way.”

Still, Kim assures her family that she’s “so serious” and that filming will take place in Malibu — despite Kris putting her foot down.

“No, not happening. Nope,” Kris says in a confessional. “I’m your momager, manager, mother — name a title. I’ll put any hat on that you want. But you’re not doing this.”

She later adds, “I watch the show. I love the show. But did I want my daughter on the show? Oh, hell no.”

In a separate confessional, Khloé proceeds to list all the reasons why The Bachelorette would not be a good fit for the mom-of-four.

“First of all, you barely drink so you don’t know how to be drunk,” she says. “They won’t let you have your glam team, I can guarantee that. And you’re gonna be just making out with random people all day long? That sounds gross.”

Back in Palm Springs, Kris takes it upon herself to call up Mills, the EVP of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television. In the call, he explains that production is “working on the scheduling” and is “90% there.” He sells a convincing story as he tells the momager that Kim deserves a chance to find love after all she does for the people around her.

Eventually, Kim breaks and tells everyone it was all just a hoax — and the “head of Disney” was in on it, too. So, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she’ll be attending a Rose Ceremony any time soon — much to her mother’s relief.

“These kids love a good prank and I’m always the victim of the prank. I’m always the subject of the prank,” Kris says. “For them to go this far, oh my god. And why don’t I see these coming?”
