Shakespeare once asked, “What’s in a name?” In Raquel Leviss’ case, it’s quite a lot, which is why she has chosen to go by her birth-given name of “Rachel,” according to TMZ.

The Vanderpump Rules star has been the buzz of Bravo following her affair with co-star Tom Sandoval, but not long after Scandoval broke, Leviss checked herself into The Meadows mental health facility in Wickenberg, Arizona, per Entertainment Weekly.

There, she received the guidance surrounding her name change in therapy.

TMZ revealed that the reason for her name change stems from fans who turned on Leviss post-Scandoval, and who began calling her Rachel to bother her. Eventually, her therapists helped her realize that her fans had “weaponized” the name Rachel, and that in order to reclaim her power, she could adopt back her birth-given name, the outlet reports.

The reality star is allegedly required to return to the Bravo series under a contract with the network. The series began filming its eleventh season at the end of June, but Leviss wasn’t present, as she was undergoing negotiations at the time.

Leviss has since checked out of the mental health facility, and her rep told TMZ that she is “just renegotiating possible terms” with the series’ execs at this time.

While we await Leviss’ fate this season, filming has been chugging along. Ariana Madix, Sandoval’s ex-girlfriend, was spotted working on the latest season of VPR with Sandoval himself, despite telling The New York Times back in May that she wouldn’t be open to filming alongside her ex or Leviss this season.

“I have nothing to say to either of them,” she told the outlet at the time.

There is no set release date for the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules. The previous ten seasons are available to stream on Peacock.
