We officially have our first look at Kim Kardashian‘s character in American Horror Story: Delicate.
Hulu released a teaser for the upcoming season of Ryan Murphy‘s anthology series, which will also feature Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne in major roles.
The teaser trailer gives us a first glimpse at all three of the actresses, who have all undergone the same eerie transformations for their characters.
It doesn’t reveal much about their roles, however. All we have so far are glimpses of the actresses backed by a creepy rendition of a lullaby and hushed whispers chanting, “Baby.”
Kardashian shared a similar trailer back in April when her casting was first announced.
“We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month. But production has already started and I’m so excited,” she told Variety at the time. She also confirmed that she took lessons with an acting coach to prepare for her role.
“It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself,” she said.
Production for American Horror Story: Delicate did not appear to be impacted by the SAG-AFTRA or WGA strikes, so it might be set to air as scheduled. In fact, three out of the four productions that were still taking place on the East Coast during the writer’s strike were under Murphy’s direction.
Kardashian was heavily criticized for continuing to film AHS during the writer’s strike back in June, when many productions halted to avoid crossing the picket line.
“Hi guys! I’m on set of AHS and we have some time between shots. What are you all up to????” she tweeted.
Striking writers descended upon her replies, accusing the reality star of “scabbing.”
Season 12 will be loosely based on the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, which tells the story of a woman who believes a greater force is trying to sabotage her pregnancy by any means necessary. The season is being described as an updated, more feminist take on Rosemary’s Baby.
American Horror Story: Delicate will also star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Zachary Quinto, Matt Czuchry, Odessa A’zion, and Annabelle Dexter-Jones.
This will be the first time a season of Murphy’s horror anthology series is adapted from a source material.
A release date has not been confirmed yet. But, according to the teaser trailer, Season 12 will be “coming soon.”
