As the upcoming Barbie movie hits theaters and taps into the childhood memories of many, Harry Potter‘s Tom Felton is tracing his Hogwarts roots to Greta Gerwig‘s cultural phenomenon.

Felton took to Instagram yesterday (July 19) and posted a side-by-side of himself as Potter’s arch nemesis, Draco Malfoy, in his complete Slytherin garb, leaning against a tree, alongside a snapshot of Ryan Gosling as Ken in Barbie, both of them sporting bleach blonde do’s and slight scowls on their faces.

Felton teased about their resemblance, captioning the post, “Kind of pissed I never got a callback #sLYTHERKeN.”

Fans flooded the comments section, with one writing, “You’re Harry’s ken. Don’t worry.”

Another self-proclaimed Slytherin said, “Always understanding the assignment. Can we give points to our own house? 🐍🐍🐍,” while another added that they are “definitely petitioning for [him] to be in the sequel.”

The official Instagram account of the Harry Potter films got in on the fun, commenting, “this is the same picture?”

London’s Warner Bros. Studio Tour chimed in too, writing,”Draco = Kenergy, enough said 👏.”

However, some considered the comparison a stretch. One wrote, “Erm. This is a reach. For your own sanity maybe let that 20 mins screen time go,” while another wrote, “i don’t think u look like that anymore.” Way harsh!

Nonetheless, the two cinematic personas differ drastically, as we could never imagine Felton’s Malfoy pining after anyone (other than himself) in the way that Gosling’s Ken does for Margot Robbie’s Barbie. But you have to admit, #slytherken sounds like a sick crossover.

You can watch Ryan Gosling take on the role of Ken in Barbie tomorrow, July 21. Check out the official trailer above.
