Futurama is back, baby! After an unfortunate series of cancellations, the popular animated show is returning with 10 new episodes on Hulu.

Created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, the show first premiered in 1999 on Fox and follows the intergalactic adventures of Philip J. Fry (Billy West), a lazy pizza delivery worker who cryogenically preserved himself for 1000 years and woke up in the year 2999, along with his colleagues at Planet Express.

He works closely with the mad scientist Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth (West), a one-eyed mutant Leela (Katey Sagal), an unfiltered robot Bender (John DiMaggio), a Jamaican accountant Hermes Conrad (Phil LaMarr), a lobster-like alien Dr. John A. Zoidberg (West), and the company’s long-term intern Amy Wong (Lauren Tom).

The Emmy Award-winning show first aired until Season 4 in 2002 when it was canceled. The series pivoted to movies, creating four, before being revived by Comedy Central. The network transformed the movies into 26 20-minute episodes comprising the fifth season and then aired two new 16-episode seasons before canning the show in 2013.

Futurama Season 11 airs on Mondays from July 24, 2023 to September 25, 2023.

**How Many Episodes Is Futurama?**

The new season of Futurama consists of 10 30-minute episodes written by Patric Verrone, Eric Horsted, Miaya Williams, David A. Goodman, and more. The premiere episode, “The Impossible Stream”, was directed by Peter Avanzino, who previously directed two of the Futurama movies.

What Time Will Futurama Season 11 be on Hulu?

Hulu is making their own rules! The platform releases new episodes of Futurama at midnight ET or 9PM PT every Monday from July 24, 2023 to September 25, 2023. The release schedule is different from traditional schedules which typically air at midnight PT or 3AM ET. Hulu lists the time on the streaming platform as 12:00 AM ET for new episodes and tweeted prior to the premiere, “Who’s staying up till Midnight ET to watch the new #Futurama episode on @hulu? If you’re on the West Coast that means you can start streaming at 9PM.”
