When Does The NFL Preseason Start? Schedule, Where To Watch Preseason Football

The 2023 NFL preseason officially begins on August 3 when the New York Jets take on the Cleveland Browns in the Hall of Fame game on NBC. Thankfully, there are a number of NFL documentaries to keep us busy until the regular season debuts Thursday, September 7 on NBC.

If you already binged Quarterback, HBO’s beloved Hard Knocks returns on Tuesday, August 8 as fans will get a first-hand look at Aaron Rodgers and the new-look Jets. Finally, Untold: Johnny Football, the hotly anticipated documentary about the life and career of Johnny Manziel, debuts August 8 on Netflix. But let’s get back to business, shall we?

WHEN DOES THE 2023 NFL PRESEASON SEASON START?

The preseason begins with the 2023 Hall of Fame Game between the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. You can watch Aaron Rodgers’ Jets debut Thursday, August 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.

NFL PRESEASON 2023 SCHEDULE:

NFL Network will broadcast 23 live games, beginning with ten Week 1 games that kick off on Thursday, August 10.

The majority of Saturday and Sunday preseason games will air on NFL Network. ESPN, Prime Video, FOX, and CBS will also broadcast one preseason game apiece.
