Is Liam Hemsworth in ‘The Witcher’ Season 3: Volume 2?

As Henry Cavill‘s run as Geralt of Rivia comes to an end, fans of The Witcher must be looking ahead to the future of the Netflix hit. We’ve known since October 29, 2022 — the day when Cavill made the shocking announcement on Instagram that he would be stepping away from The Witcher — that Liam Hemsworth would be taking over the role. Cavill might be done with The Witcher but Netflix is far from finished with this wild fantasy saga. Not only is Hemsworth locked in for The Witcher Season 4, but there have already been reports that The Witcher Season 5 has already been greenlit.

Given that Liam Hemsworth is now Netflix’s anointed witcher, does that mean he shows up in The Witcher Season 3: Volume 2? Does Cavill pass the baton to Hemsworth in a scene akin to when a new Doctor takes over the TARDIS on Doctor Who? Did The Witcher figure out a way to work the recasting into the magical story?

If you’re a die-hard Liam Hemsworth fan — and I know you exist — you might be wondering if it’s worth binging through the end of The Witcher Season 3 to see your boy don the White Wolf’s silver wig for the first time. And if you’re a Witcher fan, you might be curious to see what the new guy’s going to look like in the black leather get up.

Unfortunately, I must be the bearer of bad news…

Is Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher Season 3 finale?

Alas, alack, but he is not! As far as we know Hemsworth hasn’t yet suited up as Geralt of Rivia. We’re going to have to wait, probably at least until the AMPTP comes to their senses and settles the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, to see what Geralt 2.0 looks like.

Does The Witcher Season 3: Volume 2 Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Curious about whether or not you need to sit through all of The Witcher‘s credits for a clue about Ciri (Freya Allan) and her Rats? Convinced Netflix is using an end credits scene to drop the first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia? Well, once again, I must be the party pooper.

There is not a post-credits scene to The Witcher Season 3. However, if you watch the credits all the way through the end, you will learn who dubs Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan’s acting in Japan, Turkey, and beyond! That’s got to count for something, right?
