Kelly Ripa Begs Mark Consuelos to Show off His “Gorgeous” Legs in a Pair of “Daisy Dudes” on ‘Live’: “It’s What the Women Want — and Some of the Men!”

Mark Consuelos is going to need a little more convincing if we want him to show off his muscular legs in a pair of “Daisy Dudes” — the male equivalent to the iconic Daisy Dukes.

On this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa used every trick in the book to try and persuade her husband to sport the revealing new fashion statement. While Consuelos told her he likes a good pair of “jorts” — a.k.a. jean shorts — he called the Daisy Dudes “horrible,” and insisted that he “will not” wear them on the show.

“I have seen your legs up close and in person. You’ve got gorgeous legs. Gorgeous. You should wear Daisy Dudes,” Ripa begged, before later adding, “It’s what the women want! And some of the men, I suspect!”

Consuelos continued to shut down his wife’s suggestions as he called the style a “bad look” and explained that he likes a “shorter short” — just not a “short short.”

“I think if you had a short short — shorty-short-short, like, a Daisy Dude — you would have legs for days,” Ripa said, to which her husband replied, “I would. But I would need a lot of therapy afterwards.”

Eventually, he said he’d “think about it” — but walked it back after taking “cues from the dudes” in the audience, who he claimed were telling him not to do it. However, Ripa argued that they were “the wrong dudes” to ask.

“Those are my people. Those are my guys,” Consuelos said, while Ripa turned to the audience member and demanded, “Don’t you discourage him, sir.”

In the end, Ripa said she’d leave it up to the Live audience to decide whether Consuelos should wear the Daisy Dudes. And judging by the fanbase’s consistent thirst for anything and everything Mark Consuelos, we will likely be in for a treat.
