Are you in search of a new murder mystery movie? Look no further than A24’s Medusa Deluxe — which is coming to theaters this weekend. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this flick!
Directed by Thomas Hardiman, the latest whodunit film follows a murder mystery at a hairdressing competition in England when one contestant turns up dead.
So, where can you watch Medusa Deluxe? Is it on Max? What about Netflix?
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:
WHERE TO WATCH MEDUSA DELUXE:
As of now, the only way to watch Medusa Deluxe is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, Aug. 11. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon.
WHEN WILL MEDUSA DELUXE BE STREAMING?
While a digital release date for Medusa Deluxe has not yet been announced, we can make an educated guess on when it will be available to rent or buy on platforms like Prime Video based on a previously released A24 movie.
Beau Is Afraid, which premiered on April 21, came to digital platforms on June 13 — just over 45 days after it was released in theaters. If Medusa Deluxe follows the same trajectory, we could be watching it from the comfort of our living rooms by late September 2023.
Since it’s also being distributed by Mubi, it could eventually make its way to the streaming platform in the future. However, a date has not yet been announced.

WILL MEDUSA DELUXE BE ON MAX?
No, Medusa Deluxe will not be on Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. The platform — previously known as HBO Max — also no longer does direct-to-streaming releases. Instead, they’ve implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the Max release.
WILL MEDUSA DELUXE BE ON NETFLIX?
Yes, Medusa Deluxe will eventually be on Max (previously known as HBO Max) as the result of a new multiyear deal between Warner Bros. Discovery and A24 that gives the company access to all of the indie studio’s theatrical releases.
