Tracy Morgan let co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager in on his weight loss secret on yesterday’s (Aug. 14) episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna.

In a special segment titled “All Rise For Judge Tracy,” the comedian was given “buzzy topics” by the two hosts to weigh in on.

After discussing the debatable concept of waking up early — during which Morgan mentioned that he goes to the gym at 10 a.m. everyday — Hoda chimed in to commend Morgan on “working on [his] body and on [his] health.” However, Morgan quickly interrupted her to say, “No, that’s Ozempic,” eliciting laughter from the two co-hosts.

“That’s how this weight got lost!” he exclaimed.

“You’re not— are you really on Ozempic?” Bush Hager asked.

“Ozempic!” Morgan repeated, adding, “I went and got a prescription and I got Ozempic,” before explaining that he takes the buzzy weight loss drug “every Thursday.”

“Cuts my appetite in half,” he continued. “I only eat half a bag of Doritos.”

The type 2 diabetes medication has become a both popular and controversial weight loss antidote among celebrities, many of whom have been shamed for using it since the drug was less available to people who needed it to treat diabetes, not just lose unwanted weight, due to increased demand.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow recently weighed in on “Ozempic shaming,” telling TMZ that “you wouldn’t ask someone what kind of heart medication they’re on or if they’re on cholesterol medication.”

Morgan’s interview, which promoted his upcoming Max comedy special Tracy Morgan: Takin’ It Too Far, also delved into his path to comedy, as he shared that”God blessed [him] with a sense of humor.”

“That’s the highest form of intelligence on the planet,” he added. “Scientist from NASA could send a rocket out into space, but I can make you laugh. How about that?”

He also noted that humor is the “most [common] thing a woman loves in a man.”

“So you guys better be funny!” he quipped, pointing out toward the audience.

Tracy Morgan: Takin’ It Too Far debuts on Max on Aug. 17. Today with Jenna and Hoda airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
