It’s the end of more than just And Just Like That… Season 2; it’s the end of an era. When And Just Like That… Season 2 Episode 11 “The Last Supper Part Two: Entrée” premieres on Max tomorrow, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) will be officially starting anew with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett). Her iconic Sex and the City apartment will be sold to Lisette (Katerina Tannenbaum), her new address will be Gramercy Park, and the whole “Big” saga that started all the way back with the series premiere of SATC on HBO twenty-five years ago in 1998 will potentially be wrapped up. To underscore what a big deal tomorrow’s And Just Like That… Season 2 finale might be, even Kim Cattrall‘s Samantha Jones is scheduled to show up (albeit in a cameo).

And Just Like That… was originally envisioned as a bold new chapter for the Sex and the City franchise and indeed it was. The very first episode of the Max series pulled the rug out from under Carrie’s happily ever after with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) by having him die of a heart attack mid-Peloton ride. Since then, Carrie has navigated the murky waters of grief, made a quartet of new close friends — Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker), Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), Che Diaz (Sara Ramírez), and Dr. Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman) — and done the impossible. She’s found true love again with the other big love of her life, Aidan.

And Just Like That… Season 2 Episode 10 “The Last Supper Part One: Appetizer” ended on a down note for Carrie and Aidan, however. After returning home to Norfolk to visit his injured son Wyatt (Logan Souza), Aidan tearfully confesses to Carrie over the phone that he should have been there for his troubled 14-year-old child. Carrie then reveals to the audience that this is the first time she’s been worried.
