After seven seasons, the series finale of Riverdale, titled “Goodbye, Riverdale,” has finally aired. No more mysteries, no more sexy teens solving those mysteries, and no more questions about who is — or is not — endgame on the show. Back around Episode 10 of this season, we even made some bold endgame predictions, and promised to eat our Riverdale High sweatshirt if we were wrong*.

So, with that in mind, did Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) finally make a choice between Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes)? Was Betty and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) a surprise endgame? Or was there a big swerve where instead they all formed a polycule, grew apart from each other and none of those “main” ships ended up together?

Weird random guess if you’re throwing that one out there but yes… After seven seasons, Barchie, Bughead, Varchie, and even Vughead and Beronica were not endgame. Archie married some random lady, Betty and Jughead and Veronica seemingly stayed single, and that’s it.

To put a little asterisk there, some arguments can be made about some of these relationships. There’s a hint that emotionally Barchie (aka Betty and Archie) was endgame, but due to circumstances of “living their lives” didn’t end up together. And an angelic version of Jughead definitely indicates he regrets not getting “circled” to Betty; all while the non-angelic version of Jughead seemed to assuredly be devoted to the angelic Tabitha Tate (Erinn Westbrook) in the second to last episode.

And yes, in case you tuned out for a few seasons, there were a lot more angels on this show than you would expect.

But in terms of the literal definition the way the dictionary** defines endgame, none of those couples were endgame. That doesn’t mean none of the couples on the show were endgame. In fact, three big ones did walk into the sunset together. So let’s break them down, right here, right now… Here are the couples who were endgame on Riverdale.

*We did not actually promise that.

**Veronica Lodge

Are Cheryl and Toni, aka Choni Endgame on Riverdale?

After getting together in Season 2, breaking up multiple times, Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) getting married to Fangs Fogarty (Drew Ray Tanner), and braving the homophobia of the 1950s, Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni, aka Choni, were endgame on Riverdale.

We are told that after high school the duo moved to the Oakland Hills. They lived together as activists and artists. They had a son named Dale (played by Morgan’s actual son, River), and died, “Peacefully. After living full, gorgeous, sexy lives.” Hell yeah.

Are Kevin and Clay, aka Clevin Endgame on Riverdale?

Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) and Clay Walker (Karl Walcott) were also braving the homophobia of the 1950s. However, as we discover their parents are very supportive of them. The duo moves to NYC to get an apartment together, possibly above the Apollo Theater. Kevin goes to NYU to study musical theater writing, Clay goes to Columbia to study literature. Kevin eventually opens an Off-Broadway theater company and dies at age 82 asleep in his bed. Clay becomes a tenured professor at Columbia and dies a few weeks later on a park bench while feeding some pigeons.

So is Clevin endgame on Riverdale? You know it, dog.

Are Fangs And Midge, aka Mangs Endgame on Riverdale?

After Midge Klump (Abby Ross) became pregnant, she was sent to the Sisters of Quiet Mercy and forbidden to see Fangs Fogarty (Drew Ray Tanner). So he did what any normal teenager would do: become a rock star. His single “Pixie Girl” rocketed to #8 on the charts, he got a gold record and was allowed to marry Midge.

Unfortunately, Fangs died four weeks after high school when his bus ran off the road while touring to support his album. Midge and their daughter were taken care of for the rest of their lives on the proceeds of his song(s). So things could have gone wrong for Mangs, but by default, yes, Mangs is endgame on Riverdale.

Any Other Endgames On Riverdale? Eh? You Can Tell Me:

There are only two more, and they’re weird ones. We’re told that Principal Weatherbee (Peter Bryant) and Mrs. Thornton (Frances Flanagan), aka Thornbee, got married. And Frank Andrews (Ryan Robbins) and Tom Keller (Martin Cummins), aka From, I guess, were secretly together on the DL until they were stabbed to death by a hustler named Chic (Hart Denton). Yay?

So there you go. Whether you shipped classic ships like Mangs, From, or Thornbee, you have got to be happy with this ending. And that’s what you missed on Glee!
