The Morning Show Season 3 is coming, and in the words of Billy Crudup’s character Cory Ellison, “It is time to smash and shatter. Let’s burn it all down.”

Ahead of its Season 3 premiere on Wednesday, September 13, Apple TV+ dropped the highly-anticipated trailer for The Morning Show, reminding everyone that the Emmy-winning series remains one of the most dramatic, chaotic, star-studded shows around.

In the two-and-a-half-minute trailer shown above, Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) is still waking up at 3:30 a.m. and heading to work, but everything’s different for her, Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon), and UBA this time around. With Alex fighting to have a say in the future of the network, a “nuclear” hack shutting down broadcasts and putting personal information at risk, money problems threatening the network’s sustainability, and rules being broken left and right, The Morning Show‘s 10-episode Season 3 promises more high stakes, big risks, and unfiltered emotions.

Returning cast members Billy Crudup, Julianna Margulies, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee, and Karen Pittman join Aniston and Witherspoon. Plus, actors Nicole Beharie and Jon Hamm join the cast, with the trailer teasing Hamm’s character as a tech titan and financial lifeline for UBA, as well as a source of new opportunity for Alex. Per Apple TV+, “Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom.”

In true The Morning Show fashion, the Season 3 trailer reminds us that Crudup was born to play Cory Ellison — a smooth, high-energy, suit-wearing force with big dreams, a big voice, and snappy, delightfully absurd dialogue. From telling Alex she wants a seat at “the grown-up table” and claiming they’re “flirting with financial disaster” to declaring UBS “needs more money than God” and thanking someone for stabbing him in the stomach instead of the back, because it’s “refreshing,” I have no doubt Cory will remain a scene-stealer who continues to surprise.

Despite the drama, The Morning Show‘s humor shines through in the trailer, particularly in a scene between Crudup and Aniston, where Alex reminds Cory, “Don’t forget to shut the door on your way out,” and he intentionally props it open with a “Boop!” With straight-faced deliveries for lines like, “I am unprecedented,” Aniston’s role continues to switch between bad-ass and comically ridiculous. But if The Morning Show taught us anything it’s that you either get on the Alex Levy train or just stay at the station. And I’m fully on board, baby.

Everybody’s making moves in the Season 3 trailer, but it looks like the core characters — Alex and Bradley — are still teaming up to finish what they started. With The Morning Show already renewed for a fourth season, Season 3 is sure to go big without fear of setting up continuing storylines.

The first two episodes of The Morning Show Season 3 debut on Wednesday, September 13, with new episodes dropping weekly through November 8, 2023.
