There are few shows that are as engrossing as a season of a Netflix reality show — like The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2. These shows pull you in and beg to be binged, and after a few hours it feels like you’re actually living inside of the show. And since so many of Netflix’s shows are filmed in specific cities, usually ones outside of the usual New York City or Los Angeles, it’s like you get a mini vacay to spots around the country or around the world.

But sometimes these shows like to be coy about where they’re filming, leaving you to hunt for clues — or to Google an article just like this one. Well, you’re in luck! We’ve done all the sleuthing for you and figured out where The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2 was filmed — and that includes some specific locations, too.

Where was The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2 filmed?

Season 2 of The Ultimatum was filmed in [drumroll] Charlotte, North Carolina! This is a new city for the series; Season 1 of MoMO was filmed in Austin, Texas and Season 1 of the Queer Love spinoff was filmed in San Diego.

When was The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2 filmed?

As for when the season was filmed, local news caught the show filming in November 2022. That means it’s been around 9 months since the show wrapped production.

Where in Charlotte did The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2 film?

I’m so glad you asked! Let’s start with the primary location: the barn wherein hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey greet the couples and then later make them all swap partners.

After exhaustively looking at barn rentals in the Charlotte area, I feel pretty safe saying that this barn is most likely Sixty Acres, A Gathering Place located in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina. If you look at photos on the site, you can see the same unique slanted wood panels on the barn doors as well as the same layout as seen on The Ultimatum.

Next up: the hotel where all the couples did their initial poolside mingling!

First of all: it’s not a hotel. Second of all: there is no second of all, there’s just the name of the apartment building — The Vue Charlotte.

Next up: I know you want to know where Lisa and Brian had the fight to end all fights. All the yelling aside, it looked like a cool place to hang out!

This luxurious lounge is The Oak Room, which is open on evenings on weekends. It also has a dress code, so don’t just roll up thinking you’re going to get to have your own private Ultimatum party without planning ahead.

Lastly, there are the apartments that the new couples all move into.

I don’t know. Listen: one can only spend so much time scrolling through modern apartment buildings and taking a magnifying glass to every unit’s backsplash before you just give up. I can say, though, that I do think that Roxanne/Alex and Antonio/Kat stayed in the same apartment complex — not building, but multiple buildings (for reasons that will be obvious if you’ve seen most of the season). Why? Because the kitchen fixtures, backsplash and counters and all, are the same in both apartments.

And it’s also apparent, again from the backsplashes, that Trey/Ryann and Riah/James also lived in the same apartment building or complex. But again, hard to narrow down all of the luxurious apartment buildings in the Charlotte area to just one or two featured on this show. But hopefully between the barn, pool, and lounge, you have enough hot spots to visit on your eventual The Ultimatum tour of Charlotte.

New episodes of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2 premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, August 30.
