Are you a fan of Matt Groening’s epic fantasy series Disenchantment? You might want to sit down for this one. Grab the tissues, okay? We have some news.

The popular show bids farewell to Bean (Abbi Jacobson), Elfo (Nat Faxon), and Luci (Eric André) in its fifth and final installment, which follows the trio on their epic battle to save the magical world of Dreamland.

Netflix teases in the synopsis, “To save Dreamland from Queen Dagmar’s wicked rule, Bean must vanquish her mother and outrun a prophecy that foretells she will kill someone she loves. The stakes are as high as ever as our heroes face. Satan, a headless corpse, an evil scientist and most terrifying of all – their true destiny.”

The final season premiered on September 1, 2023 with new 10 episodes. In all, the series ran for 50 episodes since its premiere in 2019.

Is this the end for Disenchantment? Here’s everything we know about the show’s future.

Will There Be A Disenchantment Part 6?

No, there will not be a Disenchantment Part 6. Netflix has made it clear that the fifth installment is the last. In fact, they have made that clear in their titles. On YouTube, they called the trailer “Disenchantment: The Final Season” and the Part 5 finale is titled “Goodbye Bean.” It all sounds pretty “final” to me!

On top of that, the serialized storyline is wrapped up quite nicely in the last episode.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t more adventures to explore in Dreamland. Titan Comics announced a Disenchantment comic book, written by Groening, in May. The 224-paged book, called Disenchantment: Untold Tales Vol. 1, will feature three “all-new, all-comic volumes chronicling the stories you didn’t see on screen.” The book will hit shelves on September 19 and can currently be pre-ordered from major book distributors.

With its growing catalog, there’s always the hope that Disenchantment will return in the form of a spin-off. However, no plans have yet been announced from Netflix. We can only hope! Personally speaking, I’d eat up a Bean and Mora (Meredith Hagner) spin-off about their new, sexy domestic life on the shore.

As for now, the three supersized seasons are currently available to watch on the streaming platform, and more stories are coming in the form of a book.

Disenchantment is currently streaming on Netflix.
