Miley Cyrus Says She Tricked Her Late Grandma Into Baking Edibles With Snoop Dogg For the VMAs: “RIP, She’ll Never Know”

We can’t stop laughing over the fact that Miley Cyrus tricked her now-deceased grandmother into baking edibles with Snoop Dogg. Yes, you read that correctly.

In Part 32 of her “Used to Be Young” TikTok series, Cyrus reflected on the time she hosted the 2015 Video Music Awards. The star explained how she found a way to incorporate both her grandmother and her pig into a skit she wrote herself.

“I knew I really wanted a couple things in the show. I wanted the Flaming Lips, I wanted drag queens, I wanted my grandma, and I wanted my pig in the show,” she said. “So Snoop Dogg was the perfect kinda like connection.”

Cyrus continued, “It’s my grandma doing what grandmas do — baking cookies — but what she doesn’t know is that they were actual edibles. RIP, she’ll never know.”

While the “Flowers” songstress thought she never got to tell her grandmother — who passed away in 2020 — the real reason behind the video, her mom, Tish Cyrus, revealed that she may have had an inkling.

“On the ride there, cause I’m bringing Mom to the set and they give her her apron, [she asked] ‘Why does this say — my name’s not Mary Jane!'” Tish recalled from off-camera. “I was like, ‘I don’t know, Mom.'”

Used To Be Young (Series) – PART 32

♬ Used To Be Young – Miley Cyrus

In the scene, Cyrus and Snoop Dogg are chowing down on some “strong” weed brownies. When the Hannah Montana alum asks where he got them, he replies, “I made them with the OG. A old granny. Specifically, your mammie.” The camera then cuts to Cyrus’ grandmother — complete with laser eyes — baking the edibles with the rapper.

Afterward, the scene comes back to the room — where Snoop Dogg attempts to guide Cyrus through her “bad trip.” Except, he’s not exactly there with her in human form. Instead, the singer imagines him as her pet pig, Pig Pig, until she eventually snaps out of it.

The clip is just one of many from Cyrus’ “Used to Be Young” TikTok series — which, unfortunately, wrapped up earlier today. In them, she discusses her entire career from posing half-nude at 15 years old to flirting with Ariana Grande to her failed marriage with Liam Hemsworth.
