Joy Behar may have been hard at work on The View this morning, but she still found some time to unwind. The longtime co-host was treated to a foot massage live on air from none other than the show’s guest of the day, Matthew McConaughey, mirroring his appearance on The View back in 2006.

When the actor was a guest on the show over a decade ago, he put his masseuse skills to the test on Behar, and he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to recreate the unforgettable scene on today’s episode.

Alyssa Farah Griffin made it all happen, hinting at McConaughey’s intimate moment with Behar during his interview on Tuesday’s episode.

“Before I got to the show, a very iconic moment in View history took place,” Griffin told McConaughey, while Behar reflected on the moment as “a highlight” of her life.

And of course, The View had the clip on hand, even 17 years later. The vintage moment showed Behar sprawled across then-co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck as she extended her foot into McConaughey’s lap. After the clip concluded, Behar seized the moment, telling McConaughey, “It just so happens I got a pedicure this morning,” while propping her foot up right in front of him on the Hot Topics table.

McConaughey was game, smiling and blowing on his hands before getting to work. Behar, meanwhile, hammed it up for the cameras, waving her hands in the air and making an absurd series of facial expressions.

“You know where I got this from?” he asked, before explaining that he was using “his dad’s trick” to massage Behar’s feet. Whatever it was, it worked, as Behar exclaimed, “Oh, he’s good.”

Continuing to praise her guest’s “great” work, Behar told McConaughey, “Reflexology is your next career,” but the compliments only lasted so long. Moments later, she cautioned him, “Not so hard, not so hard!”

Seems like McConaughey might need a little extra training before he goes pro masseuse, but we have a feeling Behar is happy to practice whenever he needs.

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
