The View erupted into pandemonium after Sunny Hostin claimed Black voters would stop supporting President Joe Biden if he replaced Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate in the 2024 election.

During a Hot Topics segment on this morning’s episode, the women debated whether or not Harris — who has “consistently lagged in approval” behind Biden — is the best candidate to help beat Donald Trump.

While Alyssa Farah Griffin said it’s going to be “really hard” to “convince the public” that the “oldest president in history and one of the most unpopular vice presidents is the strongest way to beat” Trump, Hostin thought otherwise.

“Over the past five elections where you’ve had a Democrat win, they needed the Black vote,” she said. “91% of African Americans voted for Biden and will continue to vote for Biden if Kamala is his running mate.”

She continued, “I would be very careful, President Biden, about getting rid of Kamala Harris because we will not support you. We will not vote for you.”

As the audience burst into cheers, Whoopi Goldberg reminded everyone that it’s unlikely Biden would replace Harris. Still, Hostin doubled down that he would “lose the Black vote” if the hypothetical situation came to fruition.

“Even if it’s another Black woman like Val Demings?” Griffin suggested, to which Hostin fired back, “We’re not interchangeable.”

After another round of applause died down, Joy Behar told Hostin, “I don’t want to white-splain, but you might be underestimating the Black community voter,” before Griffin chimed back in to further grill the co-host on her stance.

“You said I was throwing my vote away if I wrote in another Republican. But you’re not throwing away your vote by not supporting Biden if he drops Kamala Harris?” she asked, but was soon cut off by Goldberg, who declared, “[Harris] is not going anywhere. Let’s start with that. This is a lot of hypothetical BS meant to make your mind explode.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
