The View got fiery today as Ana Navarro shaded Megyn Kelly for attempting to engage her in a Twitter war.

Kelly — who recently interviewed former president Donald Trump for Sirius XM — was a Hot Topic on this morning’s View as the panel compared and contrasted her Trump interview with Meet the Press anchor Kristen Welker’s own chat with the former POTUS.

Trump’s discussion with Kelly didn’t bode too well for his ongoing criminal case after he boldly told her, “I’m allowed to take these documents, classified or not classified. And frankly, when I have them, they become unclassified.”

After playing a portion of Trump’s chat with Kelly, Navarro said, “I’m seeing the clips of this Megyn Kelly interview and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I wonder if this is a little payback for all the horrible things that he has said to her and about her?'” referring to Trump’s past disparaging comments about the news anchor.

“She practiced law for 10 years, she is a smart woman — always trying to pick fights with me on Twitter. Not gonna happen, girl, not gonna happen,” Navarro continued, as Sunny Hostin chimed in, “Me too.”

Navarro then cheekily added, “Maybe when you get a TV show,” before confidently proclaiming that Kelly’s interview with Trump would serve as “evidence in a case against him.”

While Kelly previously hosted television programs including The Kelly File, Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly and Megyn Kelly Today, she no longer helms her own talk show. As of 2020, she has hosted her own podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show.

Kelly recently beefed with Navarro in late June, when she came after The View co-host for her continued support of Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden‘s son. Navarro defended Hunter’s appearance at a State Dinner during a June 26 episode of The View, saying at the time, “The Hunter Biden story, the scandal, the this, the that — it’s also the story of a father’s love, and Joe Biden has never and will never give up on his son Hunter.”

Kelly soon ripped her on The Megyn Kelly Show, her Sirius XM program. While mocking Navarro, she paraphrased, “‘That just shows his love for his son.’ You can love your child and still recognize it would be inappropriate given the circumstances to bring him to something that is not your private party.

“It’s not your private party, Joe Biden,” she continued. “It’s our party. It’s the United States. It’s America. And Hunter Biden should not have been there.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC. Watch this morning’s segment in the video above.
