Social media is having a field day after a video of Jonathan Majors — who is due in court today on misdemeanor charges of harassment and assault — breaking up a fight between two high school students went viral. With the video coming out one day before the start of his trial, many are slamming the actor for what they believe was an “orchestrated PR stunt.”

In the clip obtained by TMZ, two female students attending Hollywood High School become embroiled in a brawl as onlookers videotape the fight and laugh from the sidelines. After exchanging some harsh punches, Majors — who was eating at the In-N-Out Burger across the street — runs in to break up the fight.

The Creed III actor later confirmed to TMZ that he did not know the two young girls — and said he “hopes” they’re doing OK now. In a message to the students, he advised them to “stay cool.”

However, X (formerly known as Twitter) users are not buying that Majors just happened to be at the scene to break up the brawl. In fact, they believe it was “staged” to garner positive publicity ahead of his domestic violence trial.

“The fact that TMZ is the first to release that Jonathan Majors video and not the ‘high schooler’ that recorded it on some account with 300 followers says everything lmao,” one wrote, while another added, “Embarrassingly evident how badly staged it is lol.”

A third person said, “The PR team are geniuses for making the first search results for ‘Jonathan Majors beat up girl’ to be a video of Majors interfering two girls beating each other up.”

“I don’t know what’s funnier. The fact that the #JonathanMajors thing is so obviously staged or the possibility that it’s real and no one is gonna believe him,” someone else said, before another joked, “Jonathan Majors look like he was somewhere shining shoes when he ran up for that clearly orchestrated PR stunt.”

Majors was first arrested in March after he was involved in an altercation with his ex-girlfriend. He was booked and charged with strangulation, assault and harassment after she accused him of allegedly grabbing her, slapping her and putting his hands around her neck, per TMZ.

Since then, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star has been the subject of even more allegations. In an explosive Rolling Stone report published in June, multiple sources accused him of “really extreme abuse, physically and mentally.”

Throughout everything, Majors has maintained his innocence, with his reps previously telling People, “He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”
