Actress Angelica Ross announced she is “leaving Hollywood” after making multiple claims about her time working on the American Horror Story series with Ryan Murphy and Emma Roberts.

“For the folks who haven’t put it together yet, I’m ‘leaving Hollywood,'” she wrote on social media. “There are multiple articles that will be coming out detailing this. So I suggest you and your faves play nice, cuz I’m a Black trans woman with nothing to lose.”

She concluded her message to her fans by referencing her career-defining role as Candy on the FX series Pose. “Candy was born from my body. IYKYK. IYDYD,” she wrote.

In a separate series of tweets that promoted the new Hulu series The Other Black Girl, Ross restated that she is “leaving the industry.” She also asked someone to connect her with the diversity, equity, and inclusion department at Hulu.

“I basically lit a match this week and need to talk about the bigger issues at hand at this show helped give me the courage I needed to finally speak up,” she wrote. In another tweet, she said the show and the novel it is based off “triggered” her “to finally speak out.”

This announcement comes just days after Ross claimed Roberts intentionally misgendered her while the two were filming American Horror Story: 1984 together. She said the alleged interaction left her “blood boiling” and caused her to cut off all contact with the actress as they continued to film.

But Roberts later called her and apologized, according to a subsequent tweet from Ross. The Pose star thanked her for reaching out and “recognizing [her] behavior was not that of an ally.”

In separate tweets, Ross also called Murphy out for ghosting her after he approached her about a Black-led season of American Horror Story. She claimed that she was contractually held in first position and never heard back from Murphy, forcing her to miss out on an opportunity to possibly work with Marvel.

When someone pointed out that Marvel could take her “off their list” and choose to not work with her again for even mentioning that they were in talks, Ross replied, “That’s how you know I don’t f*cking care anymore.”

Though it is unclear what Ross has planned next for herself, the actress recently began releasing original music.

“Love the folks talking about me looking for 15min of fame. GURL! My first Emmy nomination was in 2016!” she wrote in a final tweet after announcing her exit from the industry. “I’m a globally recognized human rights advocate. I don’t need fame honey. Y’all can keep that.”
