Bam Margera is starting over. After getting arrested twice and being placed on a 5150 psych hold over recent months, the Jackass star is reportedly one month sober.

According to TMZ, sources close to Margera said he recently hit the one-month mark in his sobriety journey and that he’s even started skateboarding again.

Margera, who is living on a farm owned by another professional skateboarder just outside of Philadelphia with his girlfriend Dannii, also reportedly goes to the gym every day and hikes with his dogs.

Aside from getting back into skateboarding and hanging out with Billy Idol after his concert, sources say Margera has been keeping positive influences in his circle — especially Dannii, who allegedly gave him an ultimatum to choose between her and alcohol. For the first time, the stunt performer — who recently showed off his ankle alcohol monitor in an Instagram video — reportedly feels like he’s wanted to get sober for himself and not because he’s being forced to.

The good news comes on the heels of a tumultuous year for Margera, who was first arrested for public intoxication back in March. Just one month later, the television personality was arrested again and charged with simple assault, harassment, and making terroristic threats after he allegedly punched his brother and threatened to kill his family.

In June, Margera further claimed he would smoke crack until he died should his estranged wife, Nikki, prevent him from seeing their young son — which later resulted in Margera being placed under a 5150 psych hold. Since then, Nikki has been granted temporary legal and physical custody of their son, while Margera is limited to four FaceTime calls per week, per TMZ.

With Margera getting sober, perhaps he’s also one step closer to making amends with Steve-O, who previously revealed that he “lost contact” with Margera after he released a diss track about Steve-O and other Jackass co-stars.
