“Mind Your Business”: Keke Palmer Shuts Down Hoda Kotb And Jenna Bush Hager’s Questions About Her Relationship Status on ‘Today’

Keke Palmer is still keeping her relationship status private after she and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, had a very public dispute on social media.

During a recent appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna, Palmer shut down Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb‘s questions about her relationship with Jackson, but confirmed: “Life is good.”

“I saw you and Darius out for drinks [on social media], I was watching it live,” Bush Hager said.

Palmer confirmed they were at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour and gushed about the good time they had. “We were all about it, honey,” she said.

“Are you all about him?” Bush Hager asked, causing Palmer to laugh in surprise. She pressed, “You were a talk show host, so you know! We want to know if you’re happy! Are you happy?”

Palmer replied, “Yes, life is good. I have nothing but gratitude. Seriously.”

While Kotb tried to gently press her for more information, Bush Hager bluntly asked her, “Are you together?”

“You know what, I’m going to take a page out of my girl Beyoncé’s book: Mind your business,” Palmer responded.

Jackson faced backlash in July after he publicly shamed Palmer on Twitter for the outfit she wore to an Usher concert. But Palmer has yet to deny that she and Jackson, who is the father of her seven-month-old son, are still together.

“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” Jackson tweeted at the time, reacting to a video of Usher serenading Palmer at the show. He later doubled down on his comments, adding in another tweet, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.”

Palmer has not publicly addressed what he wrote about her. Though the pair have not confirmed their relationship status since, Jackson later shut down rumors that he had “moved on” from Palmer.

But that didn’t keep Palmer from showing more love to Usher. Soon after, the actress appeared in Usher’s new music video for his single “Boyfriend,” seemingly mimicking the most iconic moments of his career.

Though she didn’t explain her relationship status — or her relationship to Usher, for that matter — she admitted to Kotb and Bush Hager that she had a blast starring in the music video.

“I was living for it. I remember when I auditioned for a movie that he did in the mix when iI was 12, so me and him were long overdue for a duet,” she said.

Palmer then admitted, “And I loved getting to be him because when I was watching those [music] videos, I didn’t want to be the girls, I wanted to be Usher.”
