Your favorite new small-town drama is headed to The CW, and we’ve got a first look at stars Morgan Kohan and Chad Michael Murray as their Sullivan’s Crossing characters Maggie Sullivan and Cal Jones.

Based on books by Robyn Carr — the bestselling author who inspired Netflix’s Virgin River series —Sullivan’s Crossing follows Maggie, an award-winning neurosurgeon who seems to have life all figured out. She’s got a stable career in Boston, a potential life partner, and a bright future in medicine, but when her business partner is indicted for fraud, it all comes crashing down. Maggie flees the big city and returns home to Sullivan’s Crossing, where her estranged father Sully (Scott Patterson), old friends and found family, and a mysterious (incredibly handsome) stranger Cal await.

In Decider’s exclusive clip (located at the top of this page), you can watch Maggie and Cal’s meet-cute, which turns out to be a bit more confrontational than cute…but hey! We have hope! The minute-long video kicks off with a look at Murray in his exciting return to a TV series and The CW. With guns out, long hair, and a plaid shirt tied around his waist, his character Cal asks, “It’s beautiful out here, isn’t it?” And Kohan’s Maggie, lying on a dock and looking out at the water, turns around, stands up, and asks, “Do you always sneak up on people like that?”

“I’m sorry,” Cal laughs. “I wasn’t trying to scare you. I was just helping Sully out a little around the house and thought you might have gotten turned around.” She laughs back, and he digs himself into a deeper hole. “This your first time here?” he continues. “I can show you around if you like.” Much to Cal’s surprise, Maggie smiles, turns, and says she’s not interested.

“No offense…You seem like a nice guy, but this really isn’t a good time for me,” she explains. In true *charming character played by Chad Michael Murray* fashion, Cal keeps the banter going and asks if she thinks he’s hitting on her. Maggie says yes, and Cal laughs again.

“Well, you seem to have me all figured out then, don’t you?” he says. “You have a nice day. I’ll let Sully know you’re here.” Maggie watches him walk away, and with that, we can’t help but feel like we have ourselves a new slow-burn will-they-won’t-they duo to ship.
