The 2011 legal dramedy Suits has experienced a resurgence since its move to Netflix in June. Patrick J. Adams, known for his starring role as Michael Ross, got caught in the nostalgia of its revival and posted some behind-the-scenes snapshots of the cast on Instagram over the course of this week.

However, he forgot about one (currently) 77-day-long obstacle: the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. As the strike continues, actors have been instructed not to promote their projects.

Adams issued an apology to SAG-AFTRA members and supporters on his Instagram story Wednesday (Sept. 27), explaining that he “foolishly and thoughtlessly let a trip down Suits memory lane distract [him] from the very real and ongoing fight everyone in @sagaftra continues to wage in its effort to win our membership realistic 21st century compensation and protections.

“It was an embarrassing oversight for which I’m incredibly sorry,” he continued. “So grateful to those who gently and swiftly course corrected me here and I look forward to continuing the fight in the days and weeks ahead.”

People caught some of the pictures posted on both Tuesday and Wednesday prior to their removal, which included pictures of castmates Meghan Markle, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, and more. Some of the captions of his posts read “This well is deeeep,” “I miss my friends,” and “Each and every one of them.”

The outlet also noted that Adams updated his Instagram bio following the show’s resurgence on Netflix with a not-so-subtle reference to Markle. “The guy from that show you’re watching on that app because that girl married that prince,” his bio now reads.

This week marked four years since the series finale of Suits aired on the USA Network, its original home.

In the wake of the WGA strike coming to an end Wednesday (Sept. 27) after 148 days, SAG-AFTRA announced that they will be meeting with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) on Monday, Oct. 2. In the meantime, SAG-AFTRA members have been prohibited from “promotion or publicity services for work under the TV/Theatrical Contracts,” including social media posts, per The Daily Beast.

Suits is streaming on Netflix and Peacock.
