Attention Beyhive: ‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé’ Movie Tickets Are Now Available on Fandango

Time to get in formation! The Beyhive was surely in for a treat this weekend as Beyoncé unveiled the official trailer for the Renaissance World Tour concert film, which is set to release in theaters on Friday, Dec. 1.

The Grammy Award-winning singer announced the movie — titled Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé — and posted the trailer on her Instagram page on Sunday night (Oct. 1).

“Be careful what you ask for, ‘cause I just might comply,” she captioned the video, referencing lyrics from her song “All Up in Your Mind.”

Aside from highlights from her concert footage, the two-minute trailer also gives a glimpse into life on tour as well as a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals. Even the star’s three children — Blue Ivey, Rumi and Sir. Shawn Carter — make scattered appearances throughout the teaser. After all, Blue Ivey was the talk of the show after making her backup dancing debut.

“When I am performing, I am nothing but free. My goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged,” Beyoncé says over a montage of clips, before later adding, “Start over. Start fresh. Create the new. That’s what the Renaissance is about.”

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will further document the icon’s journey on tour from inception to opening night in Stockholm, Sweden, to a finale in Kansas City, Missouri.

“It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft,” the logline for the concert film reads, adding that the tour “created a sanctuary for freedom and shared joy for more than 2.7 million fans.”

Similar to the release of Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour film, which will drop Friday, Oct. 13, Beyoncé carved out a deal with AMC to distribute her movie. Upon the announcement, the singer also opened up pre-sales at theater chains including AMC, Regal and Cinemark. You can secure your tickets and find a local showing on Fandango.
