On Monday (Oct. 2), Jimmy Kimmel made his return to late night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! following the 148-day-long WGA strike. On his first day back, the host didn’t shy away from the heavy topics — in particular, former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump‘s weight.

First, Kimmel acknowledged they’ve “been off the air for five months,” or in his words, they’ve “been gone so long that The Bachelor is now a grandfather.”

“I want to take a moment to thank our crew, and all the union crews, for supporting our writers,” he said. “Thanks largely to them, this is a big win for the little guy… We hope that the actors, the auto workers, and the health care workers all get the contracts they deserve, too. I missed being here. I really did.”

He then shared how “every time something would happen in the news, [he] would get texts asking [him] if [he] was bummed that [he] didn’t have a show that night.”

“And mostly I was fine, but the one that really got me was when they booked Trump in Georgia and he self-reported his weight as 215 pounds,” he quipped. “I almost crossed the picket line for that.”

“If I was the judge in the case he has going on in New York right now, I’d start the trial and say, ‘Listen, we’re going to get to the fraud thing, but first, hop on the scale, big fella,’” he added. “If he’s 215 pounds, that means he’s 30 pounds lighter than his last physical. When he was president, he was 245 pounds, which means either he’s lying, or the Colonel is now frying his chicken in Ozempic.”

The bit continued after Kimmel welcomed guest Arnold Schwarzenegger — one of Trump’s former co-hosts and co-executive producers on The Apprentice — and asked him to weigh in on the subject.

“You are one of the foremost experts on the male physique, body building, etc,” Kimmel told Schwarzenegger. “When you size him up, what would you guess that man weighs?”

Schwarzenegger admitted, “You know, I don’t really know how much he weighs. I can tell you one thing: that if you asked me what you should do for fitness, I would just say run around yourself three times. You’re gonna be in great, great shape.”

Kimmel then asked, “So do you think it is possible that he weighs 215 pounds?” to which Schwarzenegger joked, “Yes, as much as it is possible that they said, ‘no climate change.’ And as much as it is possible that we don’t need to really reduce pollution.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
