The premiere ended with Bachelorette Season 19 alum Aven Jones walking down the stairs, and Episode 2 teased alum Tyler Norris’ Paradise return. Fans of the spin-off may recall Norris found love on the beach in Season 8 with Bachelor alum Brittany Galvin. But sadly it didn’t last, so he’s putting his heart out there in front of Bachelor Nation again.

According to Norris’ official ABC bio from the 2022 Bachelorette season, he’s a (then 25-year-old) small business owner from Wildwood, New Jersey. “Tyler is an Italian stallion looking for the love of his life! He isn’t afraid to be over the top and says that he wants the kind of connection that is so profound, others will say that it’s the kind of love you only see in movies,” the bio reads. “Tyler’s dream woman is fun, reliable, open-minded, and ready to come home and meet his wonderful and loving family. How Did Tyler’s Relationship With Bachelorette Rachel Recchia End?

Tyler memorably made it to Hometown Week with Rachel, and it seemed the two had endgame potential, but after their Hometown one-on-one date —where Tyler took Rachel to the pier to see his business (family-owned carnival games) and meet some loved ones — she called it quits before she met the rest of his family. Ultimately, Recchia felt she and Tyler were too far behind the rest of her connections that far into the journey. But she gushed over how wonderful he was mid-break up, saying, “I wish I could get there, I do… You’re going to find everything you deserve.”

“I loved her, and I still do,” Tyler said. “All I’ve ever wanted is somebody that would feel the same towards me.” And on Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise, it seemed like he found that special connection…

How Did Tyler’s Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 Relationship With Brittany Galvin End?

Tyler crashed Season 8 of Paradise as one of the late additions to the cast, and he quickly hit it off with Bachelor Season 25 alum Brittany Galvin. The two left Paradise together happily, but in the reunion episode, we learned they had a brutal breakup. As noted in our Season 8 reunion recap, Tyler came on stage alone to share his side of the story.

“You think that you found something that could potentially be forever, and I thought I had that. I didn’t,” he said. “Everything was awesome. She came to Jersey right away, I went to Chicago not long after, met her family, and it was perfect. But right after that, she said, ‘I just want to get away for a little bit. I’m gonna go to London, then I’m gonna go to Italy.’ And she FaceTimed me from Italy and said that she felt like we were two different people living two different lives and she just couldn’t do it anymore.” When Brittany joined him on stage, she explained that when they left Paradise, their relationship was “at an all-time high,” but she slowly fell out of love with Tyler.

In case that wasn’t bad enough, Brittany broke up with him the same day Bachelorette lead Rachel Recchia dumped him on national television. Ouch!
