Mike Flanagan is back, baby! The horror king’s anticipated series The Fall of the House of Usher, which is inspired by various works by Edgar Allen Poe, is expected to be his last project for Netflix following his new deal with Amazon Studios. 

The series stars many of Flanagan’s frequent collaborators, who were previously featured in The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass, including Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, and Mary McDonnell.

Told over eight haunting episodes, the series follows Roderick (Greenwood) and Madeline Usher (McDonnell), two siblings who run the corrupt company Fortunato Pharmaceuticals. As their family begins to die in mysterious and gruesome ways, they are forced to confront their dark past.

The new show takes its title from Poe’s short story of the same name, and is inspired by the tale, along with his other works, like “The Black Cat,” “The Tell-Tale Heart,” and “The Raven.”
