When Will Season 4 of ‘The Chosen’ Be Released?

Dallas Jenkins’ popular series about the life of Christ originally launched in 2019, but a whole new set of streamers have been watching the first two seasons Sunday nights on The CW. If you’ve already binged the first three installments, we have some great news: Season 4 of The Chosen is heading to a big screen near you!

For the first time ever, the entire season of a streaming-TV show will be released exclusively in theaters. “The enemies of Jesus close in while His followers struggle to keep up, leaving Him to carry the burden alone,” the official Season 4 synopsis states. The eight episode season will also be available across a variety of digital platforms after the show’s theatrical run.

“Every time we’ve dipped our toes in the theatrical waters, viewers have overwhelmingly told us they want more,” Jenkins said in a statement. “After seeing the Season 4 episodes, we knew we’d be doing our fans a disservice if we denied them the chance to see them all on a big screen with others they can laugh and cry with.”

When Is The Chosen Season 4 Release Date?

Season 4 of The Chosen will be released exclusively in theaters. The rollout begins with a two-week run of Episodes 1-3 on February 1, 2024, followed by Episodes 4-6 on February 15. The final two episodes of the season debut February 29 via Fathom Events in the U.S. and Canada.

After the full-season theatrical run, The Chosen will announce Season 4’s official streaming release date, which the official website notes will be sometime in February of 2024. Just like previous seasons, the new episodes will be available to watch across a variety of streaming platforms, including The Chosen mobile apps and broadcast and cable TV. The show will most likely debut on The Chosen website/app before eventually (maybe four or five months?) finding its way to Peacock.
