Bowen Yang is giving the Swifties what they want with some juicy gossip on this morning’s episode of The View. The Saturday Night Live star revealed to the Hot Topics table that he was just as surprised as the audience when Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend, Travis Kelce, dropped by SNL last weekend.

Yang was prompted by The View‘s resident Swift fangirl, Alyssa Farah Griffin, to detail his reaction to seeing the music icon in Studio 8H during the Oct. 15 show.

“How did this come about?” Griffin asked Bowen of Kelce and Swift’s SNL appearances. The comedian insisted, “This did not come about in any way! No one was told that they would be there.”

He recalled, “I’m going to my makeup chair after dress rehearsal, I see a couple people talking to the two tallest people in the world, and then I realized it was them. To see them individually as tall people I go, ‘Amazing,’ but when they’re next to each other, it’s a force multiplier. These two people, it’s The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. I’m in the Redwood Forest. It’s amazing.”

Yang isn’t exactly exaggerating here — Swift is 5’11”, while Kelce is 6’5″.

He continued, “But there they are. I mean yeah, they just showed up. It was incredible. It just reminds you that SNL and The View are the kinds of shows where live TV is beautiful, people drop by, things happen.”

While Yang seemed to have been pretty starstruck by his surprise encounter with one of the world’s most famous women and her star-athlete lover, The View‘s other guest of the day was a little less impressed.

When Griffin turned to Nathan Lane — who appeared alongside Yang to promote their new film, Dicks: The Musical — and asked, “Any chance you’re a Swiftie?” he played dumb.

The actor replied, “That’s not the mop? Oh, that’s a Swiffer,” before professing that he’s “a very neat person.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
