Beckham, the Netflix docuseries chronicling the life of David Beckham and his relationship with his wife, Victoria Beckham, gave us a glimpse into the pro footballer’s public and private life through “40 hours of interviews over a year-and-a-half period,” according to director Fisher Stevens. One big Beckham fan, Kelly Ripa, was especially interested in one particular interview.

She and her husband-turned-co-host Mark Consuelos sat down with Stevens on this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, where they featured a clip from the series in which David is seen in his kitchen, explaining that “it’s pretty clean because [he] clean[s] it so well.”

“And I’m not sure if it’s actually appreciated so much by my wife, in all honesty,” he reveals in the clip. “The fact that when everyone’s in bed, I then go around [and] clean the candles, turn the lights on to the right setting, make sure everywhere’s tidy because I hate coming down in the morning and there’s cups and plates and bowls.”

Once the cameras returned to Stevens, Ripa, and Consuelos in the studio, Ripa was already swooning.

“I could listen to David Beckham talking about cleaning his house for hours,” she said. “For hours and hours. Like, at the end of the day, Fisher, did you ever just want to light a cigarette and just be like, ‘Tell me more, David?'”

Stevens quickly replied, “No,” before explaining his version of intimate interviews, which he referred to as “on the couch” discussions. “I’d go, ‘David, we’re going to go on the couch today,'” he added, sharing that they “talked about everything.”

“And I don’t think he was used to sitting and talking to anybody for more than 30 minutes in his entire life, let alone his own private, personal stories,” he continued.

Ripa asked, “So you were like his therapist?” to which Stevens replied, “Sort of, because he’s never been to a therapist and God knows I’ve been to many.”

This isn’t the first time that Ripa was caught swooning over Beckham on Live. She previously revealed that one time she and and Consuelos sat down next to the Beckhams at a dinner, and after seeing David, she “was sweating so much that underneath the table, Mark threw [her] his napkin because [she] was literally vibrating with excitement.”
