Alyssa Farah Griffin isn’t exactly on friendly terms with all of her former White House coworkers. On this morning’s episode of The View, Griffin went off on one particular Donald Trump employee, attorney Sidney Powell, who pleaded guilty yesterday (Oct. 19) to attempting to overturn Trump’s 2020 election loss in Georgia.

During a discussion about Powell’s guilty plea and its implications for Trump, Griffin did not mince her words, delivering some brutal blows to Powell and her character. As former White House Director of Strategic Communications and Assistant to the President, Griffin got to know Powell, but it sounds like she didn’t make the best impression.

After declaring that Powell’s guilty admission will “hurt Trump,” Griffin continued, “This is huge, and I just have to say, I was stunned to learn that the election was not stolen by Italian satellites or Hugo Chávez,” naming just two of the bogus claims made by Trump’s legal team.

“Listen, here’s what’s so crazy about this,” Griffin said, before blasting Powell. “She’s so mockable and contemptible that it’s almost funny. I remember the final days before I resigned from the White House, we would try to keep her out of the West Wing because she was known as a lunatic, but then … she appeared at the Republican National Committee. She was hosted by the party to espouse these insane lies.

“We can’t forget how crazy that got, and act like it’s kind of normal now to dabble in election denialism,” she added. “So, dangerous on that side, but really a good day in terms of Donald Trump being held accountable.”

Powell pleaded to reduced charges yesterday in the Georgia election case, per The Associated Press. The attorney pleaded guilty to six misdemeanors after she was charged with racketeering and six other counts in her efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Under her deal, Powell was hit with six years of probation, a $6,000 fine and an order to write a letter of apology to Georgia residents.
