Hoda Kotb And Jenna Bush Hager Have Some Advice For Halloween: “If You Dress Sexy, You Are Going To Have A Bad Time”

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb kicked off Tuesday’s (Oct. 31) Halloween broadcast of Today with a hilarious duet as Sonny and Cher. The co-hosts unashamedly committed to the performance, donning their own custom wigs and costumes as they leaned into the silliness of their outfits and impersonations. Bush Hager even sported a fake mustache that she kept on throughout the entire show.

But Kotb had some words of wisdom for Halloween: “If you go out for Halloween and you dress sexy, you are going to have a bad time.”

She continued, “If you dress up as a cow with udders, you will be dancing, sweaty dancing all night long.”

Bush Hager added that you may have even more fun “if you have a mustache, if you look like a man.”

“Yes, you don’t care! But if you’re trying hard with your cleavage out and your bunny tail on, trust me, the whole night you won’t be having fun,” Kotb replied. “You’ll be cold and probably wont be having fun.”

Kotb could barely focus at the start of the show since Bush Hager kept her fake mustache on after their entrance.

“I can’t look at you at all,” Kotb told her co-host with a laugh. “People don’t recognize Jenna. We were out in the Plaza and people were like, ‘Who’s he?’ That’s Jenna. Jenna’s under there.”

But the Today co-hosts appeared to be enjoying their unique costumes this year. After performing “I Got You Babe” during The Today Show‘s Kellyoke-themed Halloween episode earlier this morning, Kotb and Bush Hager kept the good vibes going by hosting their very own ’70s variety hour.

“This is the first year we’ve ever dressed up as a couple,” Bush Hager said.

Kotb replied, “I know, I kind of like it. I like being part of a couple.”

If they’re taking suggestions, Kotb and Bush Hager would look great as Barbie and Ken next year.
