Kim Kardashian‘s luxurious life might be too much for her outspoken 10-year-old, North West, who would much rather live in an “apartment” like her dad, Kanye West.

On the most recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim sits down with Kourtney Kardashian to vent about the struggles of single-parenthood — and how she’s constantly being compared to her controversial ex-husband, with whom she shares four children.

“North, she’ll go to her dad’s. She’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best. He has it all figured out. He doesn’t have a nanny, he doesn’t have a chef, he doesn’t have security, he lives in an apartment,'” Kim explains. “And she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment!'”

Kourtney — who, for the first time in a long time, is not beefing with her younger sister — then echoes her own similar experience. She shares three children — Mason, Penelope, and Reign — with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, and is preparing to welcome her first child with husband Travis Barker.

“They do that at Scott’s, too. Like, ‘Dad has the best house. Your house sucks. He has the best house, it’s not super big, the vibe’s better,'” Kourtney says. “I feel like everything falls on the parent that’s, like, more involved.”

In an effort to appease her eldest daughter, Kim later decides to temporarily ditch their private chef and make her own sushi with North, who can clearly cut a cucumber better than her aunt, Kendall Jenner. What’s more shocking than Kim neglecting help from her staff, however, is North eating a raw onion like an apple.

“North is really special and smart and creative and definitely beats to her own drum. Her personality is really, really silly,” Kim says in her confessional. “Kourtney always says North is my lesson on this planet. It means that I’m supposed to learn even more patience. She teaches me patience. She has taught me a lot about life.”

It’s never a dull moment in the Kardashian family!
