Kourtney Kardashian Refers To David Schwimmer As “Ross” — Even After He Played Her Real-Life Dad On ‘American Crime Story’

We may not all have mega-mansions, designer clothes and private jets. But if there’s one thing from The Kardashians we can relate to, it’s that Kourtney Kardashian refers to David Schwimmer as “Ross.”

On the most recent episode of the hit Hulu series — titled “You’re Spiraling” — the family gathers around to hear Kim Kardashian‘s latest news. After linking up with Ryan Murphy, she reveals to her sisters that she’s been offered a spot on American Horror Story.

“You guys, I never even told you,” she says. “I decided I’m gonna do a TV show — a Ryan Murphy show called American Horror Story.“

Since then, the first installment of what we now know as American Horror Story: Delicate has come and gone. The show features Kim as Siobhan Corbyn, Emma Roberts‘ character’s close friend and publicist. But back when this conversation took place — which was likely long before any of us knew about the reality star’s next career move — Kris Jenner dished on how it came to be.

According to the momager, Murphy and his husband came over to her house for dinner one night, where he practically begged Kim to join the show. He even wrote a part “just for” the Skims founder.

“He did the O.J. show, which I thought was so fascinating. Remember that O.J. series?” Kim asks her family, to which Kourtney nonchalantly replies, “Yeah. Where Ross played dad?”

With the exception of Khloé Kardashian, who silently giggles to herself over Kourtney’s blasé reaction, and a brief photo comparison of the actor and their attorney father, everyone pivots back to the conversation about Kim’s hectic work life.

For those who don’t know, the first season of Murphy’s American Crime Story, titled The People v. O.J. Simpson, follows the former football player’s infamous murder case from the 1990s. In the show, Schwimmer — who is best known for portraying Ross Geller on 10 seasons of Friends — plays Robert Kardashian, who was Simpson’s defense attorney and close friend at the time.

Try as he might to be remembered for more serious roles, Schwimmer will always be the bumbling paleontologist who is Rachel Green’s (Jennifer Aniston) lobster — at least, that’s who he will always be to both myself and, apparently, Kourtney Kardashian.
