What the Episode 6 preview does assure us, however, is — in the words of Gerry himself — “It’s gonna look a lot different” than a typical hometown episode. The clips show Gerry palling around, playing outdoors, and being lightly threatened by someone’s grandkids. He’ll be asked tough questions like “Are you gonna marry my grandma?” and “Are you in love?” And at the end of the three visits he’ll find himself in “an impossible situation” that leads to tears and heartbreak.
