Will There Be A ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 8 On Netflix? Everything We Know

After eleven episodes jam-packed with workplace drama, jaw-dropping commissions, fierce fashion, and constantly evolving relationships, Selling Sunset Season 7 ends with a sour, surprising scene that will have fans wondering if and when Selling Sunset Season 8 is arriving.

Selling Sunset Season 7, which premiered on Netflix on November 3, featured a fair share of pregnancy talk, several Selling The OC cast crossovers, a trip to The O Group’s new Cabo office, and the opening of a brand new Los Angeles office. But in true Selling Sunset fashion, the most memorable moments from the season were the vulnerable heart-to-hearts among cast members Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, Bre Tiesi, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, Nicole Young, and Oppenheim brothers Brett and Jason. And, of course, the major beefs — especially the one between Bre, Chelsea, and fresh face Cassandra that served as Season 7’s cliffhanger.

For those who need a refresher, after Chelsea and Cassandra cornered Bre at The O Group’s big 10th-anniversary bash, she stormed out of the party, whipped off her mic, and said, “Fuck this show. Fuck this whole fucking office!” So will we get to see what happens next? Will there be a Selling Sunset Season 7 reunion? Has Netflix renewed Selling Sunset for Season 8? Or is this the end of the popular high-end real estate reality series?

Will There Be A Selling Sunset Season 7 Reunion On Netflix?

Diehard Selling Sunset fans will never forget Season 5’s juicy reunion episode. But will we ever get another one? As of November 1, there’s no official news of a Selling Sunset Season 7 reunion, however, Chrishell shared a message via Instagram Story that has us thinking The O Group team will reunite to look back on the dramatic season.

“If you say I am mean to you, apparently you get a storyline on Selling Sunset. THREE people did it this season and you guys be the judge. Funny that I never once had an issue with any of these people when cameras weren’t around. Remember when I posted the four of us to lunch in Australia. All smiles, nice time? The next time I saw her was this lunch. ON camera,” Chrishell wrote, referencing Marie-Lou Nurk. “If she said I was nice to her, do you think she would have gotten a storyline & invited to the reunion…. NO.” Interesting! Will There Be A Selling Sunset Season 8 On Netflix? Renewal Status, Premiere Date, And More

As of November 3, Selling Sunset‘s Season 7 premiere day, the reality series had yet to be renewed or canceled by Netflix. But that’s not to say Selling Sunset Season 8 isn’t happening.

Back in June 2022 Netflix simultaneously renewed Selling Sunset for Season 6 and Season 7, and prior to that, the series was simultaneously renewed for Season 4 and Season 5. So could a joint Season 8 and Season 9 renewal be coming? We’ll have to wait and see! But judging by the past success of the series — which premiered its Orange County spinoff Selling The OC in 2022 — and all of Season 7’s loose ends that need tying, it makes sense that the series would at least return for an eighth season.

At the end of Selling Sunset‘s Season 6 finale, we got a glimpse at Season 7, suggesting it had already been filmed and was either ready to go or very close to being done. Season 7 screeners didn’t tease Season 8 footage, but again, that’s not to say Netflix won’t renew it.

If Selling Sunset Season 8 is a go, when could we expect it? Selling Sunset Season 4 premiered in November 2021, Season 5 premiered in April 2022, Season 6 dropped in May 2023, and Season 7 arrived in November 2023, so if the series is renewed we can likely expect to see Selling Sunset Season 8 on Netflix at some point in 2024.

What Could Selling Sunset Season 8 Look Like?

Aside from clearing up Season 7’s cliffhanger and showing developments between the Bre/Chelsea/Cassandra feud, Selling Sunset Season 8 will likely show Chrishell and Amanza continuing to make amends after their big blowout, the office learning that Chrishell and G Flip got married, and Chrishell continuing to navigate the messy Nicole/Marie-Lou situation. We know Jason and Marie-Lou have broken up since Season 7 was filmed, so perhaps that will play out in Season 8. And we’ll have to see if Heather returns to the office post-maternity leave and if Mary and Romaine try to start a family again. It will also be interesting to see how The O Group agents adjust to the new office, new business expectations, and the new hires that the brothers teased in Season 7.

What’s The Deal With Selling The OC Season 3?

Oh yeah! Another reason we have high hopes for more Selling Sunset is because its spinoff series, Selling The OC, was already renewed for Season 3. As Decider noted in a previous article, back in January 2023, Netflix announced that Selling The OC would be returning for Season 2 and Season 3. That means we haven’t seen the last of Alex Hall, Alexandra Jarvis, Alexandra Rose, Austin Victoria, Brandi Marshall, Gio Helou, Kayla Cardona, Polly Brindle, Tyler Stanaland, and new Season 2 hire, Ali Harper.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be returning to the OC for two more seasons,” executive producer Adam DiVello told Tudum. “Expect to see even more of what you already love about Selling the OC (from the real estate to the agents to the many unresolved issues) and get ready to go back to the beach!”

Though Selling The OC Season 3 is confirmed, we don’t have an official premiere date for the O Group’s next Orange County chapter yet. Selling The OC Season 1 premiered on August 24, 2022 and Season 2 premiered on September 8, 2023, so there’s a chance Netflix could hold Season 3 until late summer/early fall 2024. But with the SAG-AFTRA strike ongoing, release schedules are constantly shifting. So if Season 3 is complete, we could hopefully be reuniting with The O Group’s OC cast even sooner.
