Paramount+ is returning to the Wild West with Chad Feehan’s new series Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

Executive produced by Yellowstone‘s Taylor Sheridan, the show tells the gripping story of Bass Reeves (David Oyelowo), the first Black U.S. Deputy Marshal west of the Mississippi. Per Paramount+, “despite arresting over 3,000 outlaws during the course of his career, the weight of the badge was heavy, and [Reeves] wrestled with its moral and spiritual cost to his beloved family.”
