Just one week after Friends star Matthew Perry unexpectedly passed away in his Los Angeles home, the actor was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where he was joined by many of his loved ones and former co-stars.

According to People magazine, Perry’s Friends costars, including Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow, were all in attendance at the funeral service on Friday (Nov. 3).

His parents Suzanne Morrison and John Bennett Perry also attended, alongside his stepfather, Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison. According to TMZ, the funeral ceremony was “relatively small,” with less than 20 people in attendance.

The actor recently died at the age of 54 from an apparent drowning. A cause of death has yet to be determined, but no drugs or signs of foul play were found at the scene of his death, People reports.

Perry’s Friends co-stars issued a joint statement soon after his death made headlines.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” their statement read, per People. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

The statement continued, “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

The late actor is best known for playing Cox’s love interest Chandler Bing on the hit NBC sitcom, though his decades-long career featured some standout performances in films such as 17 Again and Fools Rush In.

Perry has also been remembered for helping others who struggle with addiction. The Matthew Perry Foundation has been created after his death, and will be sponsored and maintained by the National Philanthropic Trust.

A statement from the foundation reads, “In the spirit of Matthew Perry’s enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction, we embark on a journey to honor his legacy by establishing the Matthew Perry Foundation, guided by his own words and experiences, and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible.”
