Brynn Whitfield unintentionally recreated a movie moment at this weekend’s BravoCon in Las Vegas. As The Real Housewives of New York City star hopped off the escalator on Saturday (Nov. 4), her iconic red-bottomed Louboutin heels got stuck.

She attempted to free her shoes from the escalator, but eventually gave up and exited the escalator barefoot. She was then escorted to join fellow Bravo stars Erika Jayne (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Jordan Emanuel (Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard and Winter House), Gabby Prescod (Summer House), and Tracy Tutor (Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles) for an interview, as another staff member worked to secure her heels for her, per BravoTV.com.

Daryn Carp, the moderator of the interview, chimed in, saying, “It’s like the Wicked Witch of the West got stuck in the escalator!”

“This is everything. Is this your first time on an escalator?” she quipped.

Once she sat down, Whitfield admitted that she “knew that they were gonna get stuck,” noting that she could “feel it.”

“So I said, ‘Fuck it, they’re gonna get stuck,'” she exclaimed. “It looks like The Wizard of Oz! Do I have to pay for the escalator?”

The reality TV network played into the film comparison on social media, captioning the video of the incident, “@Brynn Whitfield is not in Kansas anymore, she’s at #BravoCon! 🤣👠”

According to Bravo’s website (via People), Bravo host Andy Cohen deemed the snafu “iconic” after catching a glimpse of the heels in the escalator.

“Is there a dead person under it?” he joked. “That is the photo of BravoCon.”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Sunday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. Next-day streaming is available on Peacock. Watch the hilarious clip of Whitfield above.
