The doctor is in — and by doctor, we mean Dr. Phil McGraw.

The 73-year-old TV personality, who announced the end of his trademark series Dr. Phil following a 21-season run earlier this year, took to X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) this morning with an announcement alongside his wife, Robin McGraw, that he will be “coming back in primetime on a whole new network that’s called Merit Street Media.”

While Merit Street Media is technically his new network, he claimed it is “our network” in the announcement video.

“This is something that’s going to be focused entirely on what’s important to you,” Phil shared. “What you want to talk about, what you want to do, and Dr. Phil is going to be in on primetime.”

According to a press release shared by the new network, Dr. Phil Primetime is slated to debut on Feb. 26, and will be “a new cable TV network dedicated to bringing viewers essential news and entertainment,” per People. The show will be filmed in front of a live studio audience in Texas and will air nightly at 8 p.m. ET, per TMZ.

Dr. Phil called on viewers to write in with “things that [they] want to hear about.”

“As always, the audience will dictate our content because they are our content, and I want my viewer’s help in building Merit Street,” he said in a statement. “I continue my pledge to help individuals, couples, and families have the tough conversations, face the hard realities, and get real answers for the most positive and effective outcome.”

He noted that he “absolutely love[s] talking to real people about real problems.”

“People who aren’t just complaining but are actively looking for real solutions to better their lives,” he continued.
