Is Drew Barrymore dress shopping and writing up wedding invitations? The world may never know.

After Pauly Shore proposed to Barrymore at the end of Friday morning’s (Nov. 3) episode of her self-titled daytime talk show, the host promised audiences that she would reveal her answer in the next episode. However, Entertainment Weekly has learned that The Drew Barrymore Show will not be airing any resolution to the bit.

While we might not see her answer on TV, Shore joked that he’s already planning his future with the beloved actress.

“We’re in the middle of spending private time together, figuring out where we want to go for our honeymoon and where we want to plan the wedding — either New York or LA,” he told EW through a representative. “But we might just compromise, meet in the middle and do Texas — cause that’s what marriage [is] about, compromise.”

The comedic moment between the two actors came last week during a conversation about Pauly’s late mother, Mitzi Shore, who co-founded The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. According to Pauly — who said he’s not in a relationship because he’s “scared to get hurt” — his mom was “not happy” when Barrymore married her ex-husband Tom Green. In fact, she even suggested that the 50 First Dates star marry her son instead.

In honor of his mom’s wishes, the Encino Man actor then whipped out a big ol’ ring and proposed to a shocked Barrymore, who asked if he was being serious.

“Might as well, right?” he replied.

Because this happened at the end of the episode, Barrymore was forced to delay her response. She told the audience, “You’ll have to stay tuned for the answer, and come back tomorrow!” Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll never get to see how it all played out.

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
